Lesson 1: Introduction to Criminal Psychology
In this first lesson you will learn the definition of crime and criminal psychology, what is the role of a criminal psychologist, as well as different views and perspectives of criminal behaviors.
Lesson 2: Psychological Approaches to Understanding Crime
This lesson covers the more influential psychological approaches and theories to understanding crime and includes biological and environmental explanations of crime.
Lesson 3: Psychology & Understanding Serious Crimes
In this lesson you will learn definitions of serious crimes and understand the involvement of psychology and psychologists. Also included, is information about psychological aspects of having experienced/committed burglary, rape or murder, and crimes that are likely to have long term consequences.
You will learn about aggression, types of aggression and the environmental influences on human aggression.
Lesson 4: Mental Disorder & Crime 1 – Learning Disabilities & Crime
This lesson will help you understand the relationship between a person having a learning disability and the reasons why they might be involved in committing crime.
Lesson 5: Mental Disorder & Crime 2 – Psychopathy
This lesson will provide information to define psychopathy and discuss psychological theories relating to psychopathy, as well as the characteristics of psychopaths and probable treatments.
Lesson 6: Gender & Crime
In this lesson you will gain knowledge to understand gender differences associated with crime and the rates of crime and victims in relation to gender.
Lesson 7: Youth & Crime
This lesson will provide information to understand the relationship between youth and crime and the psychological theories relating to youth and crime. The risk factors, mental health and conduct disorders related to youth crime.
Lesson 8: Psychology & the Police
Learn about police intervention influences how psychology is used in crime, including eyewitness testimony and suspect police line ups.
Lesson 9: Psychology in the Courtroom
You will learn how psychology is used in the courtroom, elements of social cognition, behaviour, and appearance. Also included in this lesson is information related to schemas and social perception, social inferences and decision making in the courtrooms.
Lesson 10: Psychology and Crime Prevention
You will understand the concept of punishment and its relation to: police practice, court rooms, and crime prevention. This lesson explains the concept of punishment in psychology, the history and reasons of punishment.
Lesson 11: Legal Terms
Legal terminology is the collection of words and phrases that have a precise or peculiar use in the law profession. Legal Terminology is not only used by Lawyers; but is also used in a wide range of associated legal professions. These related professions include Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Solicitors, Law Professors, Legal Receptionists/Secretaries, Private Investigators, Authorised Government Inspectors and Officers, Law Enforcement Officers and many others.

Lesson 13: Legal Systems and International Law
In this lesson you will learn about Common Law Legal Systems, separation of powers and international law
Lesson 14: Criminal Law in Civil Law
You will understand one of the most fundamental distinctions between civil and criminal law in the context of punishment. You will learn what is criminal law, history of punishment, Penal law and Tort law.
Lesson 15: Legislation
In this lesson you will learn about legal terminology associated with the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy, Insurance, and Accident Compensation.
Lesson 16: Scope and Nature of Technical Writing
In this lesson we will define technical writing and identify a broad range of situations where technical writing is used.
Lesson 17: Presentation of Technical Writing
In this lesson you will develop skills in the presentation of technical documentation for a variety of situations.
Lesson 18: Planning: Developing a Logical Structure/Format
In this lesson we will develop a format for a work of technical writing that follows a logical structure appropriate to that work.
You will learn to create a technical document, research for the document and plan to write the document
Lesson 19: Writing Project Reports
In this lesson you will learn to write an effective and appropriate style of report, during or on conclusion of a project.
